Founding iOS Engineer

We are hiring a Founding iOS Engineer to build the next-generation ResortPass iOS experience from the ground up. This role will lead the transition to a fully native iOS application, built from scratch. This is a true zero-to-one opportunity. Requirements will initially be ambiguous. The design system is not yet defined. You must operate independently, make strong architectural decisions, and shape both product and engineering direction. This is not a ticket-execution role. We are looking for strong product instincts, excellent engineering judgment, and a high bar for craft. Mobile must be a differentiated experience — not a thin client of the web. You will work closely with Product, Design, Backend, Data, and Leadership, and over time help build the iOS function and engineering culture.

What You’ll Do

Own the iOS app end-to-end across critical flows:

• Search & discovery
• Property details
• Booking
• Account & post-booking experience

Build a high-quality native codebase from scratch:

• Architecture
• State management
• Networking
• Observability
• Testing
• CI/CD
• Release management

Partner with Product & Design to craft premium mobile experiences

Define mobile strategy and differentiation vs web

Shape backend API contracts for performance and resilience

Drive performance & quality (startup time, rendering, offline handling, stability)

Instrument analytics for iteration and product insight

Define long-term mobile platform strategy

Play a foundational leadership role in building the iOS team

Requirements

• 5+ years building production iOS applications
• Strong Swift expertise and modern iOS architecture patterns
• Experience building polished, consumer-facing mobile experiences
• Proven influence over architecture decisions
• Comfort collaborating with backend engineers on APIs and data contracts
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate in ambiguity
