The ideal candidate is a seasoned project leader who thrives in complex environments, can translate business objectives into executable delivery plans, and has a proven track record managing large-scale initiatives from strategy through implementation. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders, influence across teams, manage competing priorities, and ensure successful outcomes through strong governance, communication, and execution discipline.

This is a hands-on delivery role requiring a strong business project management background, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to operate effectively across both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, enterprise-wide business initiatives within a banking or financial services environment.
  • Own project execution across the full lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, risk management, implementation, and post-launch stabilization.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, milestones, budgets, resource plans, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
  • Partner with business leaders, product teams, technology teams, operations, risk, compliance, and other stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.
  • Facilitate executive governance forums, steering committees, status reporting, and decision-making processes.
  • Provide clear communication and visibility into project health, risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks and challenges, escalating and driving resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Manage complex stakeholder groups, including senior executives, while balancing competing priorities and business objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity and organizational complexity to achieve measurable business outcomes.
  • Support change management, communications, training, and implementation readiness activities.
  • Apply project management best practices and ensure alignment with enterprise delivery standards, governance frameworks, and controls.
  • Utilize both Agile and Waterfall methodologies based on initiative needs and business requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 7+ years of progressive experience leading complex business projects within banking, financial services, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional enterprise initiatives with significant business impact.
  • Strong business project management experience with the ability to understand business objectives, processes, and operational impacts.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives and managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience leading initiatives involving multiple business functions, technology teams, and enterprise partners.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches.
  • PMP certification strongly preferred (or equivalent project management certification).
  • Experience working within enterprise project governance frameworks, including reporting, risk management, issue resolution, and executive communication.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong executive presence.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable operating at both a strategic level and in the day-to-day execution details required to deliver successful outcomes.
