As we continue to grow, we're hiring a Sales Manager to lead netnew client acquisition and expand Recruit22's footprint across technology and executive hiring.


The Role

The Business Development Executive – New Client Acquisition/IT Staff Aug is responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new client relationships. This is a true hunter role, focused on outbound business development, consultative selling, and opening new accounts.

You'll work closely with Recruit22 leadership and recruiting teams to position our services, qualify opportunities, and convert prospects into longterm clients.

This role is ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys opening doors and closing deals
  • Is comfortable selling professional services (recruiting, search, talent solutions)
  • Can speak credibly with senior leaders about hiring challenges and growth goals

Key ResponsibilitiesNew Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new client opportunities through outbound prospecting and networking
  • Build a consistent pipeline of qualified leads across tech, product, and executive hiring
  • Target startups, enterprise organizations, and PEbacked companies
  • Develop relationships with decisionmakers including CEOs, CTOs, CHROs, and VPs
Sales & Client Engagement
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand hiring needs, business goals, and timelines
  • Present Recruit22's value proposition and recommend appropriate recruiting solutions
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, pricing, and statements of work
  • Own the sales cycle from initial outreach through signed agreement
Collaboration & Handoff
  • Partner closely with Recruit22 recruiters to ensure smooth client onboarding
  • Provide clear search context, expectations, and success criteria to delivery teams
  • Stay engaged postclose to ensure strong client experience and identify expansion opportunities
Market & Brand Presence
  • Represent Recruit22 at conferences, networking events, and industry meetups
  • Stay informed on hiring trends, labor market dynamics, and client challenges
  • Contribute ideas to improve sales processes, messaging, and gotomarket strategy

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • 3–7+ years of experience in sales or business development
  • Proven success closing netnew B2B clients
  • Experience selling professional services (recruiting, staffing, consulting, SaaS, or similar)
  • Strong outbound prospecting and pipelinebuilding skills
  • Confident communicator with a consultative, credible presence
  • Selfstarter mentality with strong ownership and accountability
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling recruiting, executive search, or talent solutions
  • Existing relationships within technology or executive leadership circles
  • Comfortable selling at the director, VP, and Csuite level
  • Experience in startup, enterprise tech, or PEbacked environments
