Essential Job Functions
Provide engineering analysis support for gas turbine components.
Develop baseline stress models using solid models and analysis expertise.
Support evaluation of components and assembly, and suggest improvements.
Conduct internal reviews and provide recommendations by leveraging in-house expertise in accordance with established processes and best practices. This encompasses the final release of component/assembly definitions, and any critical decisions or trade-offs related to modifications and improvements.
Qualifications
BS/MS in Mechanical or equivalent engineering from an accredited university or college.
10+ years of experience in structural/FEA analysis using ANSYS Classic and/or Workbench.
Experience with finite element modeling, mechanical and thermal analysis.
Ability to run quick trade study analysis with limited inputs and good assumption decisions.
Due to nature of working candidates need to be a US Citizen or Green Card holder.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work.
Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.
Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.
Location: Greenville, SC (remote may be allowed for qualified candidates)
Travel: Minimal < 5%
Compensation type: Salary Exempt with a competitive package dependent on level of experience
