Job description

JOB SUMMARY:
Uses pneumatic and hand tools to assemble complex cabinets and other wood fixtures.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Set-up of production areas or startup of equipment as necessary
  • Inform supervisor of the status of various production orders.
  • Managing people, work orders, and inventory.
  • Follow production schedule ensuring production standards are met.
  • Check measurements and quality of all materials and completion of quality record(s) where required.
  • Correction of quality issues within the department as assigned by supervisor.
  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and/or other material handling equipment. Utilizing different hand tools including but not limited to different hand tools, tape measure, nail guns, routers, drills, etc.
  • Responsible for the training of employees and new hires as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete general area maintenance duties on equipment as assigned. This may include help from the maintenance department when necessary.
  • Responsible for oversight and validation of completion for any paperwork, data collection/entry, labeling/tagging, etc. of team members in work cells.
  • Assist with physical inventory inspection and measurements as required.
  • Record material usage where required.
  • Accountable for identification of safety hazards, as well as support and sustain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping practices.
  • Critical thinking on ways to improve safety, efficiencies, cost, and moral within work cells and the company.
  • Follow all procedures and guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Be knowledgeable on all policies and guidelines and make sure employees are following such polices.

SKILLS:
  • Must have previous experience in field of leadership requesting
  • Previous knowledge in skill set leading
  • Ability to lead others and work in set area as required

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
  • Must be able to stand/ walk for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a area that is not climate controlled in the summer months.

Comments: Required to furnish own hand tools.
