Role Overview
The Senior Product Owner will drive product strategy, roadmap execution, and delivery for technology initiatives within the financial services ecosystem. This role is ideal for a seasoned product leader with experience supporting product development in financial technology, banking, payments, trading, lending, wealth/asset management, or other financial domains.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams, and crossfunctional partners to deliver highimpact solutions that improve operational efficiency, enhance customer and advisor experiences, and support the organization's digital transformation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy - Define product vision, roadmap, and longterm direction aligned with business objectives.
- Backlog Ownership - Manage, refine, and prioritize the product backlog to ensure delivery of highvalue features.
- Agile Execution - Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Stakeholder Alignment - Partner with business, technology, operations, and compliance teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Requirements Definition - Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Financial Technology Expertise - Support initiatives across any financial domain such as payments, trading, lending, digital banking, risk, compliance, or investment operations.
- Delivery Oversight - Ensure timely delivery of product increments and remove impediments in partnership with engineering.
- DataDriven Decisioning - Use KPIs, analytics, and customer insights to guide prioritization and continuous improvement.
- Regulatory & Compliance Awareness - Ensure product solutions adhere to industry regulations and security standards.
Required Qualifications
- 8-10+ years of product management or product ownership experience.
- Strong background in financial technology, including any of the following areas: Banking or digital banking, Payments or money movement, Trading or investment operations, Lending or credit systems, Financial data platforms or integrations
- Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams in an Agile environment.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholderinfluencing skills.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable product requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with financial workflows, customer lifecycle, or operational processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting financial products.
- Certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or similar.
- Experience with APIdriven platforms, data integrations, or cloudbased financial systems.
