Contract Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN OR)
Location: Sugar Land, TX   Pay Rate: $58/hr
Employment Type: Contract
Assignment Dates: May 11 - July 31, 2026
Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM (Day Shift) On-Call: Required

About the Opportunity

Protouch Staffing is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN OR) for a contract assignment with a leading healthcare system in Sugar Land, TX. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven surgical environment alongside a top-tier clinical team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room across a variety of surgical specialties

  • Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques

  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes

  • Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and equipment prior to procedures

  • Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols and safety standards

  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent surgical needs

Required Experience & Skills

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state)

  • 5+ years of Current Operating Room experience

  • Strong experience in the following specialties:

    • General Surgery

    • GYN

    • ENT

    • Orthopedics

    • Urology

    • Vascular Procedures

  • Hands-on experience with:

    • Robotics (including Mako Robotics)

    • Total Joint Replacement procedures

  • Proven ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced OR environment

  • ACLS & BLS (AHA only)

  • EPIC

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Neuro/Spine surgery

  • Pediatric surgical experience
