Job description

Join the Project 2231 Team
The City Forum is seeking a responsible, observant Unarmed Security Guard to help protect our guests, employees, and property. This role maintains a visible security presence, monitors the facility, responds appropriately to concerns, and helps create a safe, welcoming environment for families.
The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, professional with guests, confident when enforcing rules, and able to recognize and report suspicious behavior.
What You’ll Do
• Patrol the premises regularly to maintain order and establish a visible presence
• Monitor entrances and authorize access by guests, employees, vendors, and vehicles
• Monitor surveillance cameras and identify suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Respond to alarms and assess situations promptly
• Help secure doors, windows, and exits at the end of operations
• Address trespassing, disturbances, and other incidents according to company policy, training, and applicable law
• Contact management, emergency services, or law enforcement when appropriate
• Assist guests and employees who need help
• Complete clear, accurate reports on daily activity and significant incidents
• Help maintain a safe, professional, and family-friendly environment
What We’re Looking For
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least one year of security experience
• Valid Tennessee security license or guard card (Required)
• Tennessee Dallas’s Law certification (Required)
• Valid driver’s license (Required)
• Knowledge of applicable security and public-safety guidelines
• Strong observation, communication, customer-service, and report-writing skills
• Comfortable working with families and guests
• Familiarity with surveillance systems and related technology
• Able to remain calm, professional, and alert during stressful situations
Schedule
• Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week
• Nights, weekends, and some holidays required
• Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• In-person position
Pay
$16–$18 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
