Responsibilities
The Production / Shipping Floater will prioritize tasks based on operational need. Daily assignments may shift to support production demands.
Primary Responsibilities โ Priority Based
Priority 1: High-Volume / High-Impact Production Support

Perform multi-seal kit support, including wire expanding and preparation for oven processing

Support PKG parts processing for CAT programs
-
Operate the Mag Line as assigned
-
Paint parts at the paint booth in accordance with SAP order requirements (including striping bars)
-
Fix and clean power notches for CTB parts through bulk processing
-
Perform laser etching operations on parts as required
Priority 2: Machine Support / Entry-Level Operations

Load and unload parts for designated machining processes, including:
-
Perform deburring operations, including hand deburring and deburr tank usage
Priority 3: Material Preparation amp; Secondary Operations
-
Operate ovens for stress relieving and heat shaping (crown operations excluded initially)

Perform entry-level slotting operations under supervision
-
Operate bandsaws for material preparation and outside service support
-
Perform secondary drilling and tapping operations
-
Oil parts when applicable in lieu of magnetic processing
Priority 4: Logistics, Inventory amp; Miscellaneous Support

Load and unload Hunan parts from Thermtech crates and stage on bars
-
Provide light fabrication support (e.g., Besley paddles, vertical carriers)

Assist with cycle counts for finished goods and warehouse inventory under Shipping supervision

Apply Ferrox coating to power rings when required
General Responsibilities

Follow all safety policies and wear required PPE at all times

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Accurately follow travelers, work instructions, and supervisor direction

Support production flow and assist operators as needed

Accurately track work and materials when required

Flex between departments and tasks to meet production and shipping demands

Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills Required

Ability to read, understand, and follow basic written and verbal instructions

Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes

Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Strong attention to detail and quality

Ability to effectively communicate and work as part of a team

Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Prior manufacturing experience preferred but not required

High school diploma or GED preferred
Physical Requirements

Ability to work a 40+ hour work week, including overtime as required to meet production demands
-
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and reaching
-
Frequent use of hands for material handling and manual operations
-
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with team assistance for heavier items
-
Ability to safely operate shop equipment after training
