    Job Title: AWS Senior Cloud Architect

    Location: New York,NY

    Employment Type: Contract

    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to lead the design and development of enterprise cloud architectures, governance frameworks, standards, and policies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS with strong Azure knowledge, enabling the design of scalable, secure, and cost-optimized multi-cloud and hybrid cloud solutions. This role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to define cloud strategy and guide implementation.

    AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification is strongly preferred. Azure certification is a plus.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design scalable, resilient, secure, and cost-effective cloud architectures.
    • Develop cloud governance frameworks, standards, and implementation guidelines.
    • Assess application readiness and develop cloud migration strategies.
    • Design hybrid and multi-cloud solutions integrating on-premises infrastructure.
    • Guide engineering teams on cloud architecture, best practices, and implementation.
    • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions and cloud automation.
    • Build CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps automation initiatives.
    • Implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies.
    • Optimize cloud performance, security, and cost.
    • Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, DevOps, and business teams.

    Required Qualifications

    • Minimum 6–10 years of AWS cloud architecture experience.
    • Strong experience designing enterprise AWS and Azure solutions.
    • Expertise in hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.
    • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Pulumi).
    • Experience building CI/CD pipelines and cloud automation.
    • Strong understanding of cloud networking, security, governance, and FinOps.
    • Experience with container platforms including ECS, EKS, Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, and OpenShift.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • Experience creating architecture diagrams and documentation using Microsoft Visio.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (Strongly Preferred)
    • Microsoft Azure Certification
    • Experience with GCP or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
    • Experience implementing enterprise cloud governance and migration strategies.
    • Knowledge of disaster recovery, backup, and regulatory compliance best practices.
