Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and repairing drywall or plaster to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray guns (including conventional and construction spray painting), and other hand or power tools with precision and efficiency
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and color schemes to accurately execute projects according to specifications
• Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas while adhering to all safety regulations and respiratory protection protocols
• Perform structural painting tasks on various surfaces such as steel beams or concrete structures, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal
• Conduct surface testing and visual color comparisons to achieve consistent color matching and flawless finishes
• Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling waste materials, cleaning tools, and adhering to safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in residential painting, commercial painting, or construction site painting with a strong understanding of surface preparation techniques
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including both conventional and construction spray equipment), brushes, rollers, and other application methods
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and interpreting technical drawings or blueprints is highly desirable
• Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting environments, including respiratory protection and fall prevention when using ladders or scaffolding
• Ability to perform drywall installation, plastering, caulking, fixture installation, remodeling tasks, and basic handyman repairs as needed
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for color accuracy through visual comparison techniques
• Basic math skills for measuring surfaces and calculating paint quantities; experience with renovation or maintenance projects is a plus
• Construction site experience along with knowledge of coating applications on various surfaces ensures efficient project execution
