Job description

PLC & Robotics Maintenance Technician – $45/HR + Per Diem

Locations: Lorain, OH OR Columbus, NE
Pay: $45.00/hour
Per Diem: $45/day
Hotel: Provided and paid
Travel: Reimbursement provided
Start: Immediate

Premier Staffing Solution is immediately hiring experienced PLC & Robotics Maintenance Technicians / Automation Technicians for travel assignments supporting high-volume automotive manufacturing facilities in Lorain, Ohio and Columbus, Nebraska.

These facilities manufacture stamped and welded automotive seat-frame components. We need hands-on technicians who can troubleshoot production equipment and get machines back online quickly.

What We're Looking For

Candidates should have recent industrial experience with:

  • Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting
  • Yaskawa robotic welders
  • Stamp presses 200-1500 ton
  • Robotic welding and automated production cells
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting
  • Motors, drives, sensors, relays and controls
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Stamping and welding equipment
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
  • Troubleshooting equipment breakdowns and minimizing downtime

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC-controlled equipment
  • Diagnose and recover Yaskawa robotic welding systems
  • Troubleshoot automated manufacturing and robotic cells
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic failures
  • Troubleshoot motors, drives, sensors, switches, relays and control systems
  • Support stamping presses and robotic welding production equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime
  • Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and equipment manuals
  • Follow LOTO and all plant safety requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years of recent industrial maintenance, controls, mechatronics or automation experience preferred
  • Hands-on PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley controls strongly preferred
  • Robotic equipment troubleshooting experience
  • Yaskawa robotic welding experience strongly preferred
  • Automotive, metal stamping or robotic welding experience is a major plus
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver's license REQUIRED
  • Must be willing to travel to Lorain, OH or Columbus, NE
  • Must be available for overtime and flexible shifts
  • Immediate availability strongly preferred
