    Job description

    Electrical Engineer II Vandalia, OH 2 openings Pay: $65
    design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services. This role will serve as an instrumentation specialist responsible for designing and integrating with aircraft systems, mechanical or electrical, as needed to support the collection of data for FAA/MIL certification requirements. Additionally, the role will require maintaining NIST standards for calibration and verification of the measurements, documenting and controlling all calibrations, and supporting all hardware/software requirements both for the data acquisition systems and the IADS real-time display. Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements: Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps. Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity. Rarely lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs. Working Conditions: Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials. Rarely exposed to loud noises

    Must-haves:

    • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
    • Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
    • Familiarity with working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
    • Hands-on experience with aircraft instrumentation systems
    • Experience with flight testing sensor designs, specifications, and installations, including strain gauges, accelerometers, etc

    Preferred:

    • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
    • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
    • Familiarity with telemetry systems
    • Familiarity with communication protocols such as 1553, ARINC 429. CAN Bus, and Ethernet
    • Familiarity with Curtiss Wright hardware and software IADS
