Location: Tucson, AZ. This position is located on site.

What You Will Do

• Lead and manage the HWIL IPT through all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements definition through development and integration to delivery.
• Lead system integration activities within HWIL facilities to support system signal presentation.
• Lead troubleshooting and failure investigation activities within the program assigned HWIL facilities.
• Generate requirements, statements of work, and verification plans to support HWIL design activities.
• Lead HWIL engineering teams which perform test system design, assembly and integration activities on developmental programs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including systems engineering, software engineering, firmware engineers, modeling and simulation engineers and algorithm developers to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives.
• Define project schedules, budgets, and resource requirements with the Program Manager and ensure adherence to program milestones.
• Oversee the design, development, and integration of HWIL test environments, including simulation models, hardware, and software components.
• Manage risk identification, mitigation strategies, and resolution of technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster a collaborative and high‑performing team environment.
• Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, communicating project status, risks, and opportunities effectively.
• Support proposal development and planning activities for future projects and initiatives related to HWIL systems.
• Attend Failure Review Boards (FRBs) when required.
• Attend Change Control Boards (CCBs) and approve system changes.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of ten (10) years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Integration experience including hardware, software and/or firmware.
• Experience with software languages such as Java, C, C++, or similar languages; scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl; and MATLAB scripts for data analysis.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex projects.
• Experience with both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Preferred: Experience with electronics design and/or conducting data analysis.
• Preferred: Experience troubleshooting systems using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, network analyzers, and/or spectrum analyzers.
• Preferred: Knowledge of networking and IP addressed‑based equipment.
• Preferred: Knowledge of or experience with equipment rack assembly, cable assembly/installation, electronics maintenance.
• Preferred: Familiarity with various communication interfaces such as RS‑232, RS‑485, Ethernet, CAN, 1553.
• Preferred: Experience with model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) and Agile development methodologies and HWIL architecture.

What We Offer

Salary Range: 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. Relocation eligible.
