The accounting manager is a member of the PlayCore corporate accounting team. The position is focused on maintaining the accounting records for the PlayCore corporate entity, month-end close, forecasting and budgeting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote the Company's mission and values-based culture through daily interactions within the department as well as collaborating with other groups
- Manage corporate month-end close processes and ensure journal entries and transactions are performed according to schedule
- The accounting manager will be focused on continuous improvement and finding ways to reduce administrative work for themselves and the corporate accounting team while maintaining a high level of accuracy and adhering to schedules
- Coordinates the annual corporate forecast and budgeting processes
- Supervises one accountant within the corporate accounting team
- Other duties may be assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
- Five years of experience in an accounting department preferred
- Familiarity and experience with large company close deadlines and schedules
- Experience with annual forecasts and cost center budgeting
Travel
- Travel not expected at this time but may be required at a later date
Computer Skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Microsoft D365 experience preferred, large Enterprise ERP system experience required
Other Skills
- Continuous improvement mindset and track record of successful improvement projects
