Job Overview

FEAM Aero is currently seeking an experienced Aircraft QC Inspector to join our Erlanger, KY team. The Quality Control Inspector reports to the Director of Quality and is responsible for the efficient and economic determination of the airworthiness of the aircraft maintenance work. The role contributes to company safety by maintaining high standards of aeronautical workmanship and inspection standards.

Job Duties

Perform inspection functions for aircraft, including power plant, materials parts, and sub‑assemblies; review aircraft and engine logbooks at all checks and list pilot reports and deferred maintenance items on the appropriate work cards; conduct required inspection functions during all checks such as airframe and engine inspections called out on routine work cards; perform buy‑back inspections on major items or non‑routine work items; identify, control, segregate, and maintain all stock and tools as designated by the Director of Quality; monitor all aircraft inspection records and forms to ensure proper completion of entries; inspect for discrepancies requiring corrective action during preliminary inspections; check work performed by a technician to ensure conformity to acceptable technical and workmanship standards and sign the inspection form; and perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Inspector and/or Director of Quality.

Basic Qualifications
  • Knowledge/experience of 14 CFR Part 145 & 121 operations and environment
  • FAA A&P certificate required
  • Minimum three years’ experience in an aviation maintenance environment
  • Willingness to work irregular schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays when required
  • U.S. citizenship or green card (form I‑551)
Preferred Qualifications
  • General familiarity with B757, B767, B747, and Airbus A330
  • Experience with quality control, inspection techniques, document control, corrective and preventative actions, continuous improvement, risk management, and supplier reviews
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to set and meet deadlines
  • Detail‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work under adverse conditions in a production/aircraft maintenance environment
