CNC Machinist | Muskegon, MI
Salary Range: $47,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

We partner with companies in Muskegon seeking skilled CNC Machinists.
We are building our network of talent in this field across West Michigan and the broader manufacturing region Pivot Group Network serves. Our partner companies may or may not have an immediate opening for this exact role today, but we actively look for skilled professionals in the regions where they operate. The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Muskegon that are seeking CNC Machinists. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders) to produce precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code to determine machining operations.
- Perform in-process and final inspections of parts using various measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Troubleshoot machine malfunctions, adjust offsets, and perform routine maintenance.
- Select and replace tooling, ensuring proper setup and optimal cutting conditions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a CNC Machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming
- Experience with various CNC machinery (mills, lathes, etc.) and their respective controls
- Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments
