Job description

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a busy, well-established community GI practice serving Northampton, Amherst, Florence, and the Pioneer Valley of Western Massachusetts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced physician-or a graduating fellow-who values a strong, support team, efficient procedures, manageable call, and meaningful patient relationships.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • Join a respected, high-volume community GI practice with a strong referral base

  • Work with a collaborative team of 5 physicians and 4 advanced practice providers

  • Practice across convenient local sites, including Cooley Dickinson Hospital, a modern ambulatory surgical center in Amherst, and an outpatient office in Florence

  • Benefit from 4 procedure rooms, 12 recovery bays, modern technology, and efficient workflows

  • Enjoy a broad procedural mix, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, and in-office hemorrhoid banding; ERCP is welcome, but not required

  • Maintain local practice autonomy with the support of Mass General Brigham

  • Use a fully integrated Epic EHR for seamless care coordination

  • Receive competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, malpractice coverage, retirement support, and PSLF eligibility

The Practice

You'll join a collegial gastroenterology team known for high-quality, patient-centered care and deep community roots. The practice offers a strong mix of outpatient care and procedural work, supported by experienced APPs, an excellent local reputation, and a culture that values communication, teamwork, and physician input.

Why Northampton and the Pioneer Valley

Northampton and the Five College region offer an exceptional quality of life with vibrant downtowns, restaurants, arts and culture, excellent schools, and easy access to outdoor recreation. The area combines a progressive, community-oriented New England lifestyle with convenient access to Hartford, Boston, Albany, the Berkshires, and New York City.

Why Mass General Brigham

As part of Mass General Brigham, you'll have the close-knit feel of community practice with the strength of one of the nation's leading integrated health systems. Physicians benefit from strong infrastructure, operational support, clinical collaboration, and the stability of a nationally respected organization.
