Job description

Python Developer

We are looking for a Python Developer with a diverse skill set. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Python development, with experience in designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software solutions. The primary focus will be on developing applications for acquiring, storing, and calculating on large volumes of data using mathematical formulas.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement complex Python data computation applications.
  • Lead the design and implementation of key features and components of our product suite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Ensure code quality, adherence to coding standards, and maintainability through linting and automated testing.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and ensure software deliverables meet high-quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and other technical issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proven 9+ years of experience as a Senior Python Developer primarily backend applications
  • Strong knowledge of Python and familiarity with various Python libraries and frameworks such as Pandas, NumPy, Flask, Django, Fast API
  • Understanding of code quality, DevSecOps, and automated testing.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in leading a team or mentoring junior developers is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies.
  • Experience Analytical platforms like Snowflake
  • Experience with financial services data

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 40,000Maximum Compensation: USD 142,000Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.Medical, vision, and dental benefits, 401k retirement plan, variable pay/incentives, paid time off, and paid holidays are available for full time employees.This position is not available for independent contractorsNo applications will be considered if received more than 120 days after the date of this post
