Job description

Responsible for transporting products safely and efficiently to various delivery locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely load products onto the truck, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
  • Operate a commercial vehicle (Class B CDL) to transport products.
  • Unload products at delivery sites, ensuring they are placed in designated areas as per customer instructions.
  • Follow designated routes using GPS and other navigation tools to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of the truck, including checking oil, tires, and other essential components.
  • Report any mechanical issues or repairs needed to the maintenance team promptly.
  • Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Obtain signatures and complete the necessary delivery paperwork.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Previous experience as a CDL truck driver, preferably in agricultural or nursery product delivery.
  • Familiarity with operating and maintaining commercial vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
  • Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including early mornings and weekends, as needed.
