Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:

Field Supervisors are responsible for the overall direction of field operations, completion schedules, and labor budget outcome of their construction project, including any Specialty Department work.ย  Direct and supervise all Pepper Construction field personnel and all subcontractors on the jobsite effectively to bring the project to a successful completion.ย  Establish a positive and effective working relationship with the members of the project team (Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Site Management

  • Plan and schedule the project, including short interval schedules
  • Schedule manpower and develop a working budget based on the estimates and project schedule.ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 
  • Control job progress by managing subcontractors, solving problems and conflicts, using proper documentation, quality control and safety control techniques on the job.
  • Control project costs by weekly evaluation of labor, material, and equipment costs, adjusting to ensure a fair profit while maximizing customer satisfaction foremost.
  • Demonstrate superior construction process knowledge.

People Management

  • Ensure client satisfaction by recognizing and meeting all the client's needs.
  • Provide leadership through team building, communication, motivation, confidence, good judgment, and listening to others.
  • Manage, mentor and coach.
  • Self-initiate and motivate.
  • Ensure that all parties understand the importance of safety to your project and educate those that need it.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Engineering/Management or related curriculum from an accredited University preferred
  • General Contractor experience in the Higher Education, K-12 and Industrial Markets.
  • Significant experience with at least 5 to 10 years as a manager of commercial construction activities in the field.ย  Must possess superior construction knowledge and excellent personnel management skills
  • Willing to travel in-state for projects.

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000.ย  We consider many factors when determining the actual hiring salary.ย  These factors may include location, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, internal equity, and market demands.
