Job description

Description

Job Title: Process Tech III

Reports To: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Hourly Non-Exempt


1st Shift


Hours: 6:30am-3:00pm

Overtime required based on production need.


$17.00/hour


Operates mixing machine to blend ingredients into compounds for processing by performing the following duties:

Other duties may be assigned.

  • Verifies ingredients prior to mixing batches.
  • Loads ingredients into mixing tank and/or blender.
  • Starts machine and adjusts valves and devices in mixing chamber to aid in blending and densifying mixture.
  • Verifies the In-Process Spec sheet and production paperwork is being followed.
  • Uses tablet to ensure production goals are successfully being met.
  • Operates machine until mixture reaches desired consistency, and turns lever or pushes button to unload mixture into kettles, pick system, totes, drums, and/or hoppers.
  • Cleans and sanitizes mixing tanks, kettles, pick system, pumps, pipes, blender, and/or hopper.
  • Performs job duties of the Total Quality Lead and other Process Techs in their absence.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


Language Skills

Must be able to speak, read and write in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
