Pelican Imaging is looking for an Image Quality Software Engineer to work on our next generation imaging platforms. This engineer will have in-depth knowledge of camera and video imaging quality metrics as well as experience in software test framework development. Responsibilities You will drive the initial quality assurance framework for our software computational imaging pipeline to ensure consistent image quality, computational performance, and feature correctness.

Your team will deliver top-notch production software to Smartphone OEMs. You will work closely with a skilled, multidisciplinary team of engineers to ensure the quality of our software is the best it can be. Requirements PhD/MS/BS CS, EE or equivalent 5+ years working with camera and/or video systems Hands-on software development skills Worked in a team developing imaging software Experience writing image quality tests, performance tests, and software unit tests Expertise with digital cameras, camera processing pipelines and image quality fundamentals and metrics Programming skills in C/C++ and scripting languages; Python preferred A history of delivering production-quality software Desirable Direct experience with Imatest, I3A CPIQ, DxO Analyzer or similar Matlab programming experience Experience bringing Smartphone software components through qualification and into mass production.
