Title: Building Engineer
Bill Rate: $32-35/HR on W2
Hours: M-F 8am - 5pm with some OT
Location: 905 Pearly pkway, Charlotte, NC
Overview of Work Environment/Client Nuances:
60,000 sq ft office building
Candidate will be working closely with the client, so a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills are required.
Team Overview:
Reporting to an FM but will be working mostly independently
Resource's typical working day:
Maintain Client
Painting/patching
General carpentry
Basic mechanical
Troubleshoot and PM HVAC equipment
Basic plumbing
Daily and weekly reporting
Write work orders
Licenses/Certifications:
HVAC license preferred
Must Have Skills:
Client experience
Basic mechanical
Troubleshoot and PM HVAC equipment
Basic plumbing
Great written and verbal and written communication skills
Reliability
Nice to have skills:
Any additional trainings/certs that have helped to advance skills needed for this role
Firelife safety procedures
Soft Skills:
Candidate will be working closely with the client, so a high level of professionalism and excellent customer service skills are required.
Proper attire for a high profile office building is required.
Years of Experience:
5+ years
Education
H.S. diploma or ged required, trade school preferred
Software skills:
Client system knowledge is a must

As a Building Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining and repairing building system operations and the performance of various areas including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
