Build, Repair, and Keep Operations Running Strong – Join Us as a General Welder in Sealy, TX!

PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the industrial sector to find a skilled and dependable General Welder who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and keeping critical equipment operating at peak performance.

If you're experienced in welding, fabrication, equipment repair, and preventive maintenance, this is your opportunity to make a direct impact on production efficiency, workplace safety, and operational success.

What You'll Do

As a General Welder, you'll play a vital role in maintaining and repairing equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your expertise will help minimize downtime, improve reliability, and support continuous operations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility structures using welding and fabrication techniques.

  • Execute MIG, TIG, and stick welding processes to repair metal components, parts, and structural elements.

  • Fabricate metal parts, frames, brackets, supports, and other custom components according to specifications.

  • Utilize cutting, grinding, and bending equipment to complete fabrication projects efficiently and accurately.

  • Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement effective repair solutions.

  • Participate in preventive maintenance activities to identify wear, damage, and potential equipment failures before they impact operations.

  • Follow all safety procedures and welding best practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, inspections, and work orders.

  • Collaborate with maintenance teams, engineers, and production personnel to reduce downtime and support operational goals.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven experience as a welder, fabricator, or maintenance technician in an industrial or manufacturing environment.

  • Experience performing MIG, TIG, and/or stick welding.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, repair instructions, and specifications.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational training, trade school certification, or formal education in welding, fabrication, or industrial maintenance.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance programs.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and industrial machinery.

  • Welding certifications are a plus.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan. Our benefit offerings provide employees the flexibility to choose the type of coverage that meets their individual needs. In addition, our associates may be eligible for paid leave including Paid Sick Leave or any other paid leave required by Federal, State, or local law, as well as Holiday pay where applicable.
