    We are seeking a Field Engineering Intern for our Project site in Abilene, Texas. Interns must be available to work full time from May to August 2027.

    PCL is excited about the growth of data center opportunities and is seeking a highly motivated Field Engineering Student to support a national data center business unit.     Join us as a Field Engineering Student you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

    Responsibilities
    • Assists Field/Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Superintendents
    • Conducts safety audits and quality audits
    • Reads and understands drawings and specifications
    • Logs submittals and process RFI's
    • Assists with surveying and project layout
    • Maintains and updates field drawings, field equipment and records
    • Assists with coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and field staff
    • Attends relevant project meetings
    • Prepares memos, letters, meeting minutes, contracts, and other forms and documents
    • Assists with project documentation requirements
    • Assists with estimating and soliciting subcontractors and/or suppliers for information and pricing
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Qualifications
    • Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a degree relevant to the construction industry (e.g.construction management, construction engineering, construction technology, etc.)
    • Desire to pursue a career in Solar/Renewable Energy and construction project management, fieldsupervision, or estimating.
    • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older
    • Possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation to travel to and from the job site
    • Able to work full time from May to August 2027 at our project site in Abilene, Texas
    • Able to navigate through a construction site on a daily basis, climb ladders and stairs
    • Employment with PCL is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test conducted by a third party
    • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.
