Part-Time Administrative Assistant
P•A•S Associates – Bakersfield, CA
Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay Range: $20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Approximately 20–25 hours per week with a flexible schedule

P•A•S Associates is seeking an organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrative Assistant to support our HR consulting and training team. With flexible scheduling, this position is an excellent opportunity for a college student pursuing a degree or career in Human Resources who would like to gain practical, hands-on experience in an HR consulting environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming calls professionally, take accurate messages, and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support to the HR team and training instructors.
  • Maintain training calendars and assist with scheduling on-site and off-site training sessions.
  • Prepare training materials, handouts, employee policy handbooks, PowerPoint presentations, and classroom supplies.
  • Create and maintain online registration links, training flyers, brochures, and promotional materials.
  • Send training confirmations, reminders, and other client communications in a timely manner.
  • Assist with recruitment-related administrative tasks.
  • Create and schedule marketing and social media content.
  • Prepare and revise client correspondence using proper grammar and professional formatting.
  • Assist clients with questions in a friendly, responsive, and professional manner.
  • Perform general office duties, including data entry, scanning, copying, printing, and organizing documents.
  • Provide oral and written communication in both English and Spanish when needed.
  • Complete additional administrative projects and support duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary coursework is preferred.
  • College coursework in Human Resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least two years of customer service experience, preferably in an office environment.
  • At least one year of clerical, administrative, or data-entry experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional telephone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, and tact when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently while also following direction and collaborating with the team.
