    Senior Civil Engineering Project Manager – Aviation, Parkhill, Smith & Cooper, Inc. dba Parkhill, Frisco, TX.


    Leads complex, high-budget projects with responsibility for financial performance, risk management, and client satisfaction, while also driving business development efforts.  Leads project development from marketing and contract negotiation through scope definition and signed contract.  Mentors and teaches all aspects of project management to team members.  Plans, directs, and supervises the design and construction of complex projects.  Manages all aspects of client and team interactions throughout design and project completion.  Assists in project production as needed to support the team.  Coordinates services of subconsultants and approves their invoices for payment.  Applies advanced understanding of project financials to manage profitability, billing, and accounts receivable, while effectively overseeing resource allocation to ensure team productivity and adherence to budgeted hours.  Develops and delivers detailed project schedules for clients using Microsoft Project.  Participates in firm-wide financial projections and evaluations for stability and valuation.  Responsible for overseeing Project Square 1 QA/QC activities, including scope compliance, risk management, and claims response. Key duties include preparing project documentation, coordinating reviews at critical phases, and capturing lessons learned for continuous improvement.


    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related plus 10 years of related engineering or project management experience.  PE license (or foreign equivalent) is required.  Proficient in developing and managing project schedules using Microsoft Project, and experience in timeline planning, task dependencies, and resource allocation. Experience with building and maintaining strong client relationships and cultivating new business opportunities. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills in English.  Local and regional travel required (20%).  Telecommuting is permissible within a reasonable commuting distance from the Frisco, TX office.
