Work Environment

Located in Arlington, Virginia, our outpatient facility is designed to provide a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for healing. The clinic operates on a standard schedule, Monday through Friday with a total of 40 hours each week. Our team-oriented environment fosters collaboration among our therapists, enabling us to share insights, techniques, and experiences that enhance our patient care methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients recovering from injuries, diseases, or surgeries, and devise comprehensive treatment plans tailored to meet their unique needs.
  • Utilize a variety of therapeutic methods including exercises, stretching techniques, and hands-on therapies, along with specialized equipment, to alleviate pain and improve patient mobility.
  • Regularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment protocols based on outcomes and evolving patient needs.
  • Document each treatment session meticulously, tracking patient responses and progress towards set therapeutic goals.
  • Engage in the continuous re-evaluation of therapy objectives, providing adaptive strategies that facilitate optimal recovery.
  • Assist patients in the selection and fitting of assistive devices, ensuring they have the necessary support for enhanced independence.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on rehabilitation processes and the use of assistive devices to foster an understanding and facilitate compliance.
  • Stay current in the field by attending continuing education courses, participating in workshops, and networking within professional organizations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse group of patients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain management. This role emphasizes individualized care strategies to ensure each patient can achieve their maximum potential for functionality and independence.

Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • A valid physical therapy license in the State of Virginia is mandatory.
  • Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in word processing and other computer-related tasks.
  • A flexible mindset and adaptability in providing therapy in various situations.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred but not mandatory; new graduates eager to learn are also welcome to apply.
