Job Brief:  Sr. Consultant Clinician Compensation

The individual in Senior Consultant Clinician Compensation role is a key member of the physician compensation team for one of Georgia's largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. The Southeast Permanente Medical Group has been on the forefront of creating pay-for-performance (P4P) programs for its physicians for a number of years.  Our P4P programs focus on value-based care, member experience, and productivity.  TSPMG's P4P programs have proven to be excellent supplementary resources that support our efforts in attracting, retaining and engaging the nation's most talented physicians.

Summary:

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) is one of Georgia's largest independent, physician-owned, multi-specialty medical groups. More than 700 physicians and 300 associate practitioners work together in a unique integrated care model to provide high-quality care to Kaiser Permanente members. Our focus is on long-term health, effective prevention, diagnosis and treatment of disease.  Care is delivered across 40+ specialties at 26 medical offices featuring state-of-the-art equipment, labs, imaging services, and pharmacies. We also provide surgical services and around-the-clock care at some of the area's top hospitals.  We invite applications for an intern in Clinical & Health Systems based at our regional office.

What You Can Expect:

       This important role assists with our compensation program development and implementation.

       The analytical support for all physician incentive/compensation programs is also run by this analyst.

       The goal is to be proactive in the approach of analysis, creating and running the models, identifying issues, determining root causes and making recommendations based on findings.

       This analyst will work with other reporting and analytical resources in the region to provide accurate information to senior management effectively and efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

       Bachelor's degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Management or related field (required)

       Master's degree (preferred)

       6 years of related work experience (i.e. in a reporting and analytical environment, preferably in healthcare)

       Demonstrated skills in project management, data analysis, statistical analysis, communication skills, analytical skills, interpersonal skills and group facilitation skills

       Proficient in Microsoft Office Products such as Excel Access, Microsoft SQL Server Mgt Studio or similar database

       Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills

       Managing multiple requests

       Proficient understanding of medical terminology and CPT and ICD9 procedure and diagnosis coding

       Excellent facilitation, communication and presentation skills

       Ability to envision, create and implement new program design

       Experience working with senior level managers and physicians

       Knowledge of health care operations, including primary care, specialty and ancillary services

       Business strategy, planning, operations and health care experience preferred

       Prior experience with physician compensation, Pay for Performance (P4P) or incentive compensation plans
