Job Summary:
ATG Entertainment is a world leader in live entertainment, operating iconic venues across the globe. They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to take ownership of their network infrastructure, ensuring it remains fast, secure, and resilient while collaborating with IT, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
Responsibilities:
• Own the design and continuous evolution of ATG Entertainment's network architecture across all office and venue locations — ensuring it is scalable, resilient, and aligned with business growth.
• Develop and maintain network standards, design patterns, and documentation that serve as the authoritative reference for how our network is built and operated.
• Evaluate new networking technologies, solutions, and vendors — making evidence-based recommendations that improve capability, reduce complexity, or lower cost.
• Design and implement network segmentation strategies including VLANs, access control lists, and micro-segmentation to support security and operational requirements.
• Lead network-related planning for new venue openings, office buildouts, and major infrastructure changes — from initial design through to go-live.
• Administer and maintain Cisco routing and switching infrastructure across all sites, ensuring consistent configuration, performance, and availability.
• Manage the Cisco Meraki platform — including switches, wireless access points, and security appliances — using the Meraki dashboard to monitor, configure, and troubleshoot the environment.
• Oversee Azure networking services including Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups, and Azure DNS — maintaining alignment with our cloud infrastructure team.
• Manage Microsoft NPS (Network Policy Server) for RADIUS-based authentication and network access control across wired and wireless environments.
• Respond to and resolve network incidents with urgency and precision — conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures to reduce recurrence.
• Own firewall policy management across the estate — reviewing, updating, and auditing rules to ensure the network perimeter remains secure and well-governed.
• Design and administer VPN infrastructure for site-to-site and remote access connectivity, ensuring secure and reliable access for users across all locations.
• Collaborate closely with the Security team to implement and enforce network security controls — including intrusion detection, traffic inspection, and zero-trust network access principles where applicable.
• Conduct regular security reviews of network configurations, access controls, and firewall policies — proactively identifying and remediating risks.
• Manage and optimize WAN connectivity across all sites, including SD-WAN configuration, link failover, and traffic prioritization to ensure consistent performance.
• Design, deploy, and maintain wireless infrastructure across offices and venues — ensuring reliable, high-density Wi-Fi coverage that meets the demands of staff and guests.
• Manage ISP and carrier relationships — including circuit procurement, SLA management, and fault escalation for connectivity issues.
• Monitor WAN performance and capacity across all sites, proactively identifying bottlenecks and recommending upgrades or optimizations.
• Own network monitoring across all sites using appropriate tooling — establishing dashboards, alerting thresholds, and reporting that provide clear visibility into network health and performance.
• Produce regular performance and capacity reports for IT and Infrastructure leadership, translating network data into clear, actionable insights.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives — identifying technical debt, configuration inconsistencies, and opportunities to strengthen the network environment over time.
• Maintain thorough, up-to-date network documentation including topology diagrams, IP address management (IPAM), configuration standards, and operational runbooks.
• Work closely with IT, Infrastructure, and Security teams on cross-functional projects, providing network expertise and ensuring dependencies are well-managed.
• Act as the senior technical authority on networking — mentoring junior team members, reviewing proposed changes, and setting the standard for how network work is planned and executed.
• Contribute to technology roadmap discussions, helping shape the long-term direction of ATG Entertainment's network strategy.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5-8 years of experience in a network engineering role, with a proven track record of managing complex, multi-site network environments.
• Deep expertise with Cisco routing and switching — including configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management of Cisco hardware in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience administering Cisco Meraki — including switches, wireless access points, and security appliances via the Meraki dashboard.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking — including VNets, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, NSGs, and Azure DNS.
• Experience managing Microsoft NPS for RADIUS authentication and network access control.
• Proven experience with SD-WAN design and operations — including traffic policy, link failover, and performance optimization across multiple sites.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, STP, VLANs, QoS, MPLS, and IPsec.
• Strong firewall management experience — policy design, auditing, and ongoing governance across a multi-site estate.
• Experience designing and managing enterprise wireless infrastructure for high-density, multi-site environments.
• Solid understanding of network security principles — including segmentation, access control, VPN architecture, and zero-trust concepts.
• Excellent documentation skills — able to produce clear topology diagrams, runbooks, and technical standards.
• Strong communicator — able to translate complex network concepts for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
Preferred:
• Cisco certifications such as CCNP (Enterprise or Security) or CCIE — or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Experience with network monitoring and observability platforms (e.g. SolarWinds, PRTG, Datadog, or similar).
• Familiarity with network automation or scripting using Python, Ansible, or similar tooling.
• Experience working in a live entertainment, hospitality, or multi-venue organization.
• Exposure to Palo Alto or Fortinet firewall platforms.
