Job description

Salary:

Position: Carpenter

Location: Baltimore Region

Contract Type: Full-time / Contract

Certifications Required: OSHA 10, Forklift Operator Certification

Overview:
We are seeking reliable and skilled Carpenters Master and General to support the maintenance and repair of MTA Light Rail facilities across the Baltimore region. This is a hands-on role with a wide variety of tasks across multiple transit properties including stations, shops, and storage buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform carpentry and masonry work (walls, ceilings, stairs, trim, baseboards, doors, sidewalks, etc.)

- Conduct minor furniture and equipment repairs

- Paint station amenities and perform graffiti abatement

- Repair flooring, windows, roofing, gutters, and more

- Assist with signage installation and removal

- Operate a forklift to manage and store bulk materials

- Participate in preventive maintenance inspections and repairs

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site

Required Certifications and Training:

- OSHA 10 Certification (Required)

- Forklift Operator Certification (Required)

- Must complete Railroad Worker Protection (RWP) training

- Must complete On Site Coordinator (OSC) training
