Job description

This is a temporary position, multiple openings.
We are looking for a pool of people willing to work this summer for the Summer Lunch Program. Hours per day will vary from 3-6 hours depending on need. This will be a timesheet positive based on daily hours needed.
Employees in this position will serve as routine helpers when needed in the school kitchen and perform duties related to food service for the summer lunch program. The position requires the ability to work in a friendly manner with co-workers and students and to assume responsibilities of the Cook II position when they are absent.
This position will be under the supervision of the Cook I and Nutrition Serves Director, and will but not limited to:
* Jobs will include preparing for head start and preschool meals
* Assists with kitchen related duties
* Serves Lunch
* Fills dishwasher and take temperatures
* Cleans dishwasher and counters
* Cleans and puts away dishes
* Assists with other related duties as assigned by Cook I and Nutrition Services Director
Must have the ability to:
* Organize work to complete assigned tasks in a scheduled manner
* Operate kitchen equipment
* Understand and follow oral and written instructions
* Lift and move up to 50 pounds
* Assist with other related duties as assigned by Cook I and Nutrition Services Director
* Maintain cooperative relations with other employees
* Get along with children
Must:
Possess a current valid Oregon Food Handlers Certificate.
Possess a valid Driver's License.
Hourly pay per OSEA wage schedule.
