Position Summary

The Sales department seeks an assertive, creative, and motivated Group & Premium Sales Intern with a strong work ethic and a passion for sales. This internship is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in sales, offering hands-on experience in group sales, premium sales, and fulfillment while working for the industry's leading venue management company in sports and entertainment.

This role is expected to last from September 8, 2026 and will end on December 11, 2026.

This role pays an hourly rate of $15.50

This position will remain open until June 19, 2026.

About the Venue

The Donald L. Tucker Civic Center features a 12,500-seat arena, 34 luxury suites, 476 club seats, over 54,000 sq. ft. of meeting and exhibition space and an arena view restaurant, the Spotlight Grille. The arena is home to Florida State Men's and Women's basketball and is known for its electric atmosphere and fierce home court advantage. Not only a music and sports venue, the arena also is frequently used for trade shows, large catered functions, receptions, religious services, and classes.

Responsibilities
  • Create and execute a corporate sales plan for the DLTCC annual holiday themed community engagement events.
  • Participate in developing and implementing premium and group sales initiatives for FSU Basketball, graduations, family shows, concerts, and other events.
  • Prospecting and cold calling new leads for group and premium sales.
  • Provide unsurpassed customer service to prospects and current clients over the phone and in person.
  • Assist with updating guest lists and event sheets.
  • Assist with brainstorming ideas for revenue-generating opportunities at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center.
  • Help with the planning and organizing of various sales initiatives and programs.
  • Sit in on group and premium sales meetings.
  • Interact with clients on event days.
  • Interact with Tucker Center staff from other departments when working on various projects.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.

  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Recommended for Sport Management, or Business Majors.
