Job description

Now hiring entry level CDL-A drivers in Texas for dry van freight, mainly east of I-35. NIS Express wants to put you in the seat.

Got your Class A CDL and just finished truck driving school? This is exactly the kind of opportunity built for you.

TRAINING PROGRAM

From day one, you're paired with a personal trainer. Over 4 to 6 weeks, you'll run real freight on real routes together, getting hands-on evaluation the entire way. You won't go solo until your trainer says you're ready - and you'll earn $650 a week throughout the process.

Your trainer will walk you through:

  • Safe operation of a Class A tractor-trailer on actual routes
  • ELD systems and hours-of-service rules
  • Pre-trip and post-trip inspections, done right
  • How to communicate with dispatch and follow company procedures

WHAT THE JOB LOOKS LIKE

  • Run a Class A tractor-trailer in full compliance with DOT regulations
  • Haul dry van freight, mainly east of I-35
  • Bi-weekly home time
  • Stay on schedule and keep your on-time delivery numbers strong
  • Stay current on ELD logs, DVIRs and trip paperwork
  • Inspect your equipment thoroughly before and after every shift
  • Keep dispatch and customers in the loop

PAY AND BENEFITS

  • $650 a week during training
  • $1,000 a week guaranteed for your first 3 months as a new driver
  • $1,400 to $1,800 average weekly once you're established
  • Medical, dental and vision coverage after 30 days
  • Company-paid life insurance and AD&D
  • 401(k) with company match once eligible
  • PTO, paid holidays and paid orientation

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • At least 21 years old
  • Clean driving record
  • Able to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
