What You’ll Do & Bring
As a Specialties Patient Services Specialist, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients, families, and community partners—providing excellent service both in person and over the phone while supporting efficient clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Answer calls, document communications accurately, and route messages to the appropriate team members
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across clinical providers and locations
- Review patient charts to ensure all required documentation (ID, consent, demographics) is complete and up to date
- Assist patients with registration, forms, and understanding visit requirements
- Address patient concerns professionally, resolving minor issues and escalating when needed
- Collect and discuss co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles prior to visits
- Reconcile cash drawer and prepare payments for transfer to the accounting team
- Maintain proficiency in EHR systems to support accurate scheduling and patient communication
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with office equipment and basic administrative tools
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
- Professionalism in handling sensitive situations and patient concerns
- Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality patient care
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Experience in a medical or dental front office setting
