SCHOOL SECURITY OFFICER
2026-2027 School Year
Full-Time. Permanent Position
Position Overview
The Millstone Township School District is seeking a qualified School Security Officer. The School Security Officer plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, secure, and supportive environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
  • Retired Law Enforcement in good standing after 25 years of service
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of New Jersey permit to carry a handgun
  • Must possess and maintain a New Jersey Armed SORA Certification
  • Must possess strong problem solving and communication skills
  • Knowledge of digital surveillance systems preferred
  • Obtained Tactical Response Training

Performance Responsibilities
  • Campus patrol and access control
  • Emergency response and crisis preparedness
  • Surveillance & system operations
  • Student relations & culture
  • Policy Enforcement and incident reporting
