Clinical Director (BCBA)

May Institute | Adult Services

Revere, MA

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities? May Institute is seeking a Clinical Director to lead Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services for adults with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual and developmental disabilities. 

Position Summary 

 This role supports programs across North Shore and Revere. Working closely with the Assistant Clinical Directors, you will provide staff training, supervision, and performance evaluations, while also directly supporting adults and their families. Join May Institute and build a rewarding career helping individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life. 

What You’ll Do 

  • Hiring and Team Development: Lead the hiring, training, and mentoring of Assistant Clinical Directors, ensuring our team delivers compassionate care supported by strong clinical expertise. 
  • Clinical Supervision and Program Development: Directly supervise clinicians and oversee high-quality, individualized programming, including Functional Behavior Assessments and behavior support plans. 
  • Social Communication Programming: Lead the development and implementation of programs designed to strengthen social communication and interaction skills using a Verbal Behavior framework. 
  • Clinical Training and Staff Development: Develop and implement clinical training systems that support direct care professionals and clinicians in applying ABA principles across residential and day programs. 
  • Program Continuity: Provide support and training across day and residential settings to promote smooth transitions and consistent care. 
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with allied health and medical professionals to ensure clinical practices reflect current evidence-based methodologies. 
  • Organizational Leadership and Systems Improvement: Serve as a key member of the Adult Services leadership team and lead systems-change and capacity-building initiatives related to applied behavior analysis. 
  • Family and Agency Communication: Communicate clearly and compassionately with guardians and external agencies to support transparency, collaboration, and trust. 

What You’ll Bring 

  • BCBA preferred;thoseeligible to sit for the exam or accruing BACB supervision hours are welcome to apply. 
  • PhD in a related field preferred; Master’s degree in a related field required. 
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing and implementing treatment programs, 
  • Proven track record in staff supervision and training. 
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving challenges. 
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for adults and families. 
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to drive team success. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of best practices in providing ABA services, including familiarity with CASP autism guidelines and state regulations.

Compensation: $85,000-$90,000
