Location: Millersburg, OH
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time Options
Help build the next generation of truck drivers.
At Mast Trucking, our in-house CDL Training Program is built around experienced professionals who believe safety, professionalism, and good judgment can be taught. As an Instructor, you'll use your experience behind the wheel to prepare new drivers for successful careers, not just help them pass a test. If you're ready to step into a role where your knowledge has a lasting impact, we'd love to meet you.
What You'll Do
  • Train new CDL students in backing, maneuvering, road driving, and defensive driving techniques
  • Provide real-time coaching with clear, respectful, and constructive feedback
  • Demonstrate safe driving habits and professional decision-making every day
  • Adapt your teaching style to meet different learning personalities and experience levels
  • Evaluate trainee progress and identify areas needing additional coaching
  • Partner with fellow instructors to continually improve our training program
  • Help develop confident, safety-focused professional drivers

Who We're Looking For
  • CDL-A required with solid driving experience
  • Excellent safety record and strong commitment to doing things the right way
  • Patient, calm, and confident when coaching others
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with a wide variety of personalities
  • Dependable, professional, and comfortable working outdoors in all seasons
  • Someone who enjoys helping others succeed and takes pride in seeing trainees grow

Requirements
  • Valid Class A CDL
  • At least 3 years of experience with Class A tractor trailers
  • Reefer experience preferred
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • No DUIs in the past 5 years
  • Able to pass a DOT physical, drug screen and background check
