LONG Building Technologies is hiring experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technicians to join our Colorado service team.

We're looking for technicians across multiple experience levels—from experienced commercial service techs who can independently handle calls to senior technicians with advanced diagnostic skills and specialists with strong VRV/VRF experience.

If you have 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience, we'd like to hear from you. Your position and compensation will be based on your experience, technical capabilities, and areas of expertise.

Opportunities include:

• Commercial HVAC Service Technician II: $38–$51/hour
• Senior / Service Technician III: $46–$55/hour
• VRV/VRF Service Technician: $46–$55/hour
• Potential profit sharing in addition to hourly compensation

What You'll Do

Depending on your experience and technical background, responsibilities may include:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems.
• Independently manage commercial HVAC service calls.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and controls-related issues.
• Service equipment including rooftop units, refrigeration systems, economizers, VAV boxes, fan-powered boxes, pneumatic controls, and related commercial systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and in-depth equipment inspections.
• Complete commercial HVAC repairs, installations, equipment start-ups, and retrofit work.
• Identify system issues and recommend appropriate solutions to customers.
• Troubleshoot and service VRV/VRF systems if experienced in this area.
• Work with building automation and controls systems based on experience.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to less-experienced technicians.
• Accurately complete service documentation.
• Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, sales, and other team members.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

What We're Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC service experience
• Valid CFC / EPA 608 certification
• Strong commercial HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial heating, cooling, refrigeration, and/or electrical systems
• Ability to independently manage service calls
• Ability to safely and legally operate a company vehicle
• Ability to work after hours when needed
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to accurately complete service documentation

Additional Experience We Value

You do not need to have all of the following to be considered. These skills may qualify you for one of our more senior or specialized opportunities:

• 6+ years of commercial HVAC experience
• Advanced refrigeration troubleshooting
• VRV/VRF installation, service, and troubleshooting
• Daikin VRV training or other manufacturer-specific VRV/VRF training
• Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls experience
• Large commercial HVAC equipment
• Equipment start-ups and commissioning
• Commercial HVAC retrofit and installation projects
• Advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting
• HVAC system optimization and energy efficiency
• Experience mentoring or training other technicians

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field service position that may require:

• Standing for extended periods
• Working in mechanical rooms and confined spaces
• Lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Climbing ladders and safely working at heights
• Working indoors and outdoors, including in inclement weather
• Using personal hand tools
• Working safely around commercial construction and mechanical hazards
