Job description

We are searching for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and enjoys problem solving. Tasks include broaching, tumbling, tapping, drilling, cutting, milling, and turning (manual). This position requires detailed focus on producing parts used for steering wheels, shifters, and other various automotive products.
Scope of Position may Include:
• Work in a safe and clean manner by complying with procedures, rules, and company policies.
• Ensure quality standards are met.
• Ability to communicate with management or peers concerning issues of part quality or availability.
• Perform detailed procedures according to hands-on and verbal instruction.
• Use measurements to determine accuracy of machine operation and adjust tolerances as needed.
• Ability to recognize operating irregularities and machine malfunctions.
• Regular usage of cold saws, drill presses, hydraulic presses, broaches, manual mills, manual lathes, tumblers, and other various manual equipment.
• Other duties and/or tasks may be assigned on an as needed basis.
Requirements:
• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Strong mechanical abilities.
• Ability to make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic mechanical issues and know when to seek assistance if needed.
• Ability to follow instructions in a detailed and concise manner.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and with others.
• Pre-employment drug screen.
Job Type: Full-time 7:30am-4:00pm
