Why Join the FlexCare Internal Locum Physician Team?

  • Mission-Driven Care: Join an organization committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality, and accessible cancer care.
  • Flexible Assignments: Travel to TOI clinics that need short-term physician coverage and support.
  • Consistent Employment: Dedicated position with guaranteed hours and competitive compensation.
  • Career Growth: Exposure to diverse patient populations, practice models, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Innovation in Oncology: Participate in clinical trials, evidence-based medicine, and value-based care programs.
  • Community Impact: Help ensure continuity of care and expand access to oncology services in underserved regions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, evidence-based hematology/oncology care to adult patients.
  • Collaborate with local clinic teams, APPs, and nursing staff to deliver seamless patient experiences.
  • Participate in tumor boards, clinical trials, and TOI quality initiatives.
  • Adapt quickly to varying clinic workflows while maintaining TOI's high standards of care.
  • Support mentorship and training within local teams when assigned.

 Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
  • Active or eligible licensure in one or more of TOI's service states (CA, NV, AZ, OR, FL).
  • Minimum of 1-year post-fellowship experience preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary, value-based environments.
  • Willingness to travel and work at multiple TOI locations.

Compensation

  • Competitive daily rates.
  • Travel, lodging, and per diem covered.
  • Opportunities for professional development and permanent site placement if desired.
  • Fall in love with your work at The Oncology Institute? If you convert to full-time employment, you will be eligible to receive a $100,000 Sign on Bonus.
  • Equity opportunities if converted to full-time employment.
