Job description

Experienced Irrigation Technician / Specialist

Mint Landscapes

Mint Landscapes is a growing landscape company seeking an experienced Irrigation Technician / Specialist who is confident working independently, takes ownership of projects, and consistently delivers high-quality irrigation solutions.

This role is ideal for someone who can manage jobs from start to finish with minimal supervision while also supporting and mentoring other team members when needed.

What You’ll Do:
  • Work independently to diagnose, repair, and install irrigation and landscape lighting systems

  • Evaluate and optimize irrigation system performance and water efficiency

  • Troubleshoot complex irrigation issues and develop effective solutions

  • Recommend system upgrades and improvements to residential, commercial, and HOA clients

  • Prepare irrigation and lighting bids and job recommendations

  • Program and manage Wi-Fi–based irrigation controllers

  • Coordinate weekly irrigation schedules with other divisions

  • Train and assist junior irrigation technicians as needed

  • Maintain organized records and communicate job progress clearly

What We’re Looking For:
  • 2+ years of hands-on irrigation experience (required)

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage jobs with little to no supervision

  • Strong understanding of irrigation system operation, components, installation, and troubleshooting

  • Experience with residential, commercial, and HOA properties

  • Ability to problem-solve and make confident field decisions

  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks such as digging, trenching, and repairs

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record

  • Reliable, consistent work schedule

  • Willingness to work occasional overtime

Compensation & Benefits:
  • $22–$27 per hour to start, based on skill and experience
