Job description

About the Role:

As an MRI Technologist based in Boston, MA, you will play a critical role in the diagnostic imaging team by performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. You will be responsible for preparing patients for MRI scans, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the procedure, and operating advanced MRI equipment to capture high-quality images. Your expertise will contribute directly to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment planning by producing clear and precise imaging results. Collaboration with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals will be essential to optimize patient care and workflow efficiency. Additionally, you will maintain compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards to uphold the highest quality of service in the imaging department.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited MRI Technologist program or equivalent education.
  • Current certification as an MRI Technologist (e.g., ARRT MRI certification) or eligibility to obtain certification.
  • Valid state licensure to practice as an MRI Technologist in Massachusetts.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of MRI safety standards and patient care procedures.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting with a high volume of MRI procedures.
  • Additional certifications such as CPR/BLS and advanced imaging modalities.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and imaging software.
  • Ability to handle pediatric and geriatric patients with sensitivity and professionalism.
  • Participation in professional organizations related to radiologic technology.
