Job description

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a key liaison between partners, clients, staff, and internal teams throughout all phases of tax engagements.
  • Lead and manage multiple tax engagements with a focus on high-quality client service, technical accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Review complex tax returns and related workpapers across a variety of client types, industries, and tax matters.
  • Research and apply technical tax guidance related to federal, state, local, and compliance matters.
  • Serve as a primary client contact and manage tax-related communication with clients and their outside advisors.
  • Identify planning opportunities and provide practical recommendations that help clients address tax, business, and compliance needs.
  • Coordinate engagement workflow, delegate work effectively, and collaborate with team members to keep projects moving forward.
  • Monitor tax law changes and evaluate how new guidance may impact clients, engagements, and planning strategies.
  • Support client meetings and advisory conversations by preparing analysis, recommendations, and follow-up related to complex tax matters.
  • Contribute to staff development by coaching, mentoring, sharing technical knowledge, and providing regular feedback.
  • Participate in business development by building relationships, identifying opportunities with existing clients, and following through with new client leads.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in public accounting, tax consulting, or a similar tax-focused role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing tax engagements, reviewing complex returns, and advising clients on tax matters.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • Active CPA license.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and tax preparation software.

Pay

  • The anticipated hiring range for this position is $132,200-$171,800 and is dependent on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
