We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Laboratory Technician to support a laboratory and distribution operation specializing in nutritional products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, accuracy, and compliance through laboratory testing, documentation, and support of packaging and distribution processes. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a laboratory setting—such as a hospital, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical environment—and will be comfortable operating in a regulated, quality-driven workplace.

    Duties & Responsibilities

The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for supporting laboratory operations and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, including but not limited to:
    • Perform routine laboratory testing, sampling, and analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
    • Prepare samples for testing in accordance with established protocols, SOPs, and quality standards.
    • Accurately document test results, observations, and data in laboratory notebooks, logs, and electronic systems.
    • Assist with quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) activities to ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
    • Operate, maintain, and clean laboratory equipment and instruments; report malfunctions or calibration needs.
    • Support investigations related to non-conforming results, deviations, or out-of-specification findings.
    • Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of laboratory samples, chemicals, and materials.
    • Follow all laboratory safety procedures, including OSHA and company safety policies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality, production, packaging, and distribution.
    • Assist with audits, inspections, and documentation reviews as needed.
    • Perform additional laboratory or operational duties as assigned.
    Qualifications & Requirements
    • Education
      • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field preferred.
      • Relevant laboratory coursework or technical training required.
    • Experience
      • Minimum of 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in a hospital, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, food science, or regulated manufacturing environment.
      • Experience working under SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, or similar regulated standards strongly preferred.
    • Skills & Competencies
      • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures precisely.
      • Proficient in basic laboratory techniques, sample preparation, and data recording.
      • Comfortable using laboratory equipment and standard testing instruments.
      • Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and use of laboratory information systems (LIMS) or similar software.
      • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
      • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
      • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)
      • Laboratory Technician certification or relevant professional credential.
      • GMP, GLP, or quality systems training.
      • OSHA or laboratory safety training.
    • Physical & Work Environment Requirements
      • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
      • Ability to lift up to 25–40 lbs as needed.
      • Willingness to work on-site in a laboratory and distribution setting.
