About the Job.
JPI has an exciting opportunity for an Agentic and AI specialist to join the Applications and Integrations team within the Digital & IT organization in Dallas, TX.
As JPI continues to expand and modernize its AI and software development ecosystem, this role will play a key part in advancing our digital strategy and transforming building. You'll have a unique opportunity to design, deliver and lead sophisticated agentic systems, AI-driven applications, RPA solutions, integrations, and automations that directly enhance business processes and create meaningful impact across the company.
The Agentic Integrations and Applications Developer will deliver proprietary JPI agents, applications, and system integrations-leveraging platforms such as Workato and complementary technologies. This role collaborates closely with both technical and non technical teams to architect and implement high value process improvements throughout the organization.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Agentic AI Development
  • Lead, design, build and maintain Agents, RPAs and other AI solutions to expand what business units across JPI can achieve.
  • Establish and maintain automatic and procedural guardrails regarding security, reliability, fairness, accuracy, observability, and traceability.
  • Continually review and update agents, AI solutions and RPA systems to maintain the highest standards of security, reliability, fairness, accuracy, observability, and traceability.

Back-End & Integrations Development
  • Lead, design, and deliver scalable integrations using Workato, Python, Oracle Cloud and REST APIs to manage flows between many different systems.
  • Establish and maintain secure application connections to various 3P systems.
  • Document integration flows and connections.
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, and observability.

Solution Architecture & Development
  • Contribute to the design and development of scalable, maintainable, and secure integrations and AI aligned with business needs.
  • Translate functional requirements into technical user stories.
  • Contribute to application development, implementing key features or solving challenging problems as needed.

Agile Sprint Methodology
  • Participate or lead code reviews, sprint planning and technical decision making.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver user stories and application features within sprint cycles.
  • Mentor and assist scrum team to ensure consistently delivered sprint commitments.

Collaboration & Strategy
  • Collaborate with co-workers in the Digital & IT team and other business units to understand business needs.
  • Optimize use of Agents and RPA by training business units, monitoring and improving feature usage.
  • Work closely with UI developers to ensure integrations and Agents are aligned with UI needs.
  • Train co-workers on agentic development, RPA and integration best practices.

Non-essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.

Education, Work Experience, & Physical Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • 1+ year of Agentic AI development experience.
  • 1+ year experience with LangChain, RPA, RAG and Vector Stores/Databases.
  • 2+ years of experience with Python, Node.js and/or React.
  • 2+ years of experience working with cloud platforms or iPaaS tools.
  • 2+ years of experience integrating with REST APIs.
  • Strong understanding of integration patterns and architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, collaborative mindset.
  • Comfortable working in Agile environments.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with any of LangGraph, MCP and Agent Harness
  • Experience with Workato.
  • Familiarity with any of Workday, BuildingConnected, Procore, Airtable, Oracle Primavera Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Fabric, Power Platform, and Azure.
  • Experience with SQL databases
  • Experience with GitLab
