Position Summary
Seasonal with both part time and full time (15-40) hours per week starting NOW through May and continuing into late fall or dependent upon your availability. ! Assist in a viariety of maintenance and landscaping activities at Keeley Park in Jackson, MI. Must be 18 years old and have a valid driver's license and good driving record. Position Description
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a minimum of 18 years old with a valid MI driver's license and a safe driving record. Applicants must have the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and possess necessary physical capabilities to safely perform related tasks. Available to work a flexible schedule, on occasion, that meets the needs of the facility, including available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Employees must be able to maintain positive working relationships with the public, fellow employees and other working groups. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide outstanding customer service to park visitors.
2. Represent Jackson County Parks with a friendly, positive attitude.
3. Help maintain a safe, clean parks system, including, playgrounds and picnic areas.
4. Daily/weekly cleaning and preventative maintenance of equipment
5. Mowing, weed trimming and general landscape work
6. Parks cleaning and preparation, including trash clean up, picnic area and the overall park
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physically active position requiring walking, bending, lifting, reaching, pulling, and pushing. Also includes operating equipment with small engines.
*Frequent walking on uneven ground
