Clinical Supervisor (BCBA, RN, LPC or LCSW)

Location: Augusta, GA (Coweta County) This is a field-based leadership role requiring travel for participant visits and team support. Work includes community settings, occasional office work, and remote administrative responsibilities.

Schedule: Full Time

Pay: $80,000 annually

Summary of position:

The Clinical Supervisor will work collaboratively with the directors, team leaders, and intensive support coordinators.. Each Intensive Support Coordinator (ISC) Supervisor may oversee a supervisory caseload of no more than 100 ISC participants served by the Intensive Support Coordinator who provides the direct oversight and coordination of services for waiver participants. The Clinical Supervisor will also make a minimum of one face‐to‐face visit with each individual on their caseload annually.

Position Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of professional experience with individuals with complex behavioral issues in a behavioral health setting related to individuals with ID/DD (i.e. ICF/IDD, psychiatric inpatient hospital/facility, specialty clinics, or other rehabilitation/habilitation settings).
• Must have at minimum three (3) years’ experience providing home and community‐based case management services for individuals with disabilities or other related disabilities.
• Two years of experience in making recommendations as part of a client's service plan such as clinical treatment, counseling, or determining eligibility for health or human services/benefits.
• Must be one of the following: Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker or a Registered Nurse.
• Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license, maintain automobile insurance coverage and have access to an automobile.

Essential Functions:

• Provide ongoing consultation to ISCs that consist of joint visits, determining risk and unmet needs, and collaboration in identifying and securing medical/health resources. 
• Complete a review of 25% of caseloads on a quarterly basis to determine if all ISC services and protocols are being followed. This review will be documented and available for review by DBHDD staff.
• In conjunction with the Team Leaders and the Clinical Director, identifies training needs and develops plans for staff to better understand changes in policies, procedures and regulations.
• Act as a clinical consultant for each of the ISC Coordinators and each of the participants served within the ISC team’s caseload.
• Responsible for conducting a minimum of one annual joint visit with the ISC for each individual receiving Intensive Support Coordination on their supervisory caseload.
• Provide ongoing consultation to determine risks and unmet needs and collaborate in identifying and securing resources.
• Maintain familiarity with nursing or behavioral health care plans developed by provider agencies to ensure that ISCs understand the purpose and evaluate the efficacy of the plans.
• Hold monthly phone or face‐to‐face supervisory sessions with each of the ISCs assigned to review their caseload and the level of risk of each individual served.
• Maintain availability between supervisory sessions to help ISCs solve problems around key participant issues, resolve service problems, and visit participants as part of their interdisciplinary team for clinical consultation and planning.
• Maintains availability for SC/ISC to act as a resource for information when conducting ISP meetings and development of the plan.

• Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 applications.
• Proficient in person‐centered approaches and ISP development.
• Knowledge of community‐based resources and local Provider capacity.
• Knowledge of planning principles and report preparation.
• Skill in interpreting, policies and procedures.
• Skill in analyzing situations, evaluating information and recommending course of action.
• Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with fellow employees, outside agencies and state personnel.
• Ability to plan and review the work of others.
• Ability to evaluate issues, explain rules and regulations.
• Ability to write reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Ability to define problems and collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpersonal skills sufficient to provide effective mentoring for Team personnel.
• High level of initiative, self‐direction and accountability for actions required.
• Skill in promoting multidisciplinary collaboration; ability to act as a facilitator and change agent required.
• Analytical ability to assist staff, as well as resolution of complex programmatic issues.
