    Job description

    Summary

    The Sales Director is responsible for overseeing sales teams and sales processes to ensure maximum effectiveness and efficiency across the sales function. This role provides strategic leadership, drives revenue performance, and partners cross-functionally to support growth objectives and operational alignment.

    Essential Functions

    Sales Strategy & Performance Management

    • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet the company's revenue goals

    • Analyze market trends and developments to identify new opportunities for growth

    • Monitor and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement

    • Develop and manage the sales budget to ensure financial goals are met

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Manage and develop the sales team to ensure maximum productivity and employee engagement

    • Develop and implement sales training programs to ensure representatives are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed

    Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting

    • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and operations, to ensure seamless communication and coordination

    • Create sales reports and present insights and recommendations to senior management

    Additional Responsibilities

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Education & Experience

    Required

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration or a related field

    • 10+ years of experience in sales management, preferably in the interior construction industry

    Skills & Competencies

    • Strong technology skills and the ability to leverage technology in work processes

    • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to negotiate agreement between parties with different perspectives

    • High level organizational and time management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines

    • Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve problems in a timely and positive manner

    • Ability to take ownership of responsibilities and effectively manage interpersonal relationships

    • Knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices

    • Excellent managerial, supervisory, and leadership skills with the ability to develop and motivate others

    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with demonstrated success creating and implementing plans in high-growth, dynamic environments

    • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including advanced Excel

    Preferred

    • Ability to monitor and manage multiple initiatives concurrently

    • Strong understanding of pricing structures for construction trades and bid/contract management

    • SAP experience

    Pay range: $140 - $180K plus bonus and benefits
